This project represents a Proof of Concept (POC) implementation of a SCADA-based automation system for petrol stations. The objective was to validate system integration, real-time monitoring, and centralized control of key station operations within a live operational environment.
The solution integrated fuel dispensers, Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) systems, tank level probes, and point-of-sale (POS) systems into a unified SCADA platform. The pilot demonstrated real-time visibility of fuel levels, dispensing activities, system status, and alarms through a centralized dashboard.
The POC successfully verified system architecture, communication reliability, and operational feasibility, providing a strong foundation for future full-scale deployment and expansion.
Review of existing petrol station equipment and system readiness.
Design of a pilot SCADA architecture for monitoring and control.
Integration of dispensers, ATG, and POS systems into one platform.
Live deployment with testing and real-time system monitoring.
The POC was finalized through system testing and validation to confirm stable operation, accurate data monitoring, and reliable communication between integrated components. The results demonstrated system readiness for future full-scale deployment.
